Training & Technical Assistance
Building on our extensive industry knowledge across the entire spectrum of drug control policy, Carnevale Associates provides a wide range of training & technical assistance (T/TA) tools and services. Over two decades, our team of experts has provided health care, treatment, prevention, and criminal justice clients with T/TA spanning knowledge development on opioids and marijuana, best practices in performance measurement, and federal grant writing.
For the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) Center for the Application of Prevention Technologies, we have developed reference guides and webinars on topics such as understanding the risk and protective factors for substance use; conducting community needs assessments, developing capacity, and establishing stakeholder relationships; and choosing, implementing, and evaluating prevention strategies. For the U.S. Department of Justice Office of Justice Programs (OJP), our team provides T/TA to federal staff on program development, including logic modeling and performance measurement, and to OJP grantees in the form of webinars and conference workshops on compliance. We have also provided T/TA on substance use treatment software and data reporting for the District of Columbia and provide a wide array of grant writing T/TA for state governments and community organizations, such as So Others Might Eat.
